Technology is about adaptation to change.
Just because you have made something cool doesn’t mean that you should stop evolving. Our digitized world is different day by day, minute by minute, and we keep up with it as best we can to make your life easier.
We started this blog for you, our Finders, to better communicate the inner workings of the StickNFind team and to open up the communication lines so we can hear directly from you how to make our product better.
The team has been working tirelessly to make updates to the StickNFind Bluetooth tracking to make finding things a little bit easier for you.
Here are all of the updates we have implemented over the past few months:
This is the first change we made to the original model. We improved the initial stability of the StickNFind program dramatically. We also took in consideration some customer feedback to make the app more user-friendly.
May 3, 2013: Version 1.2
The team improved the stability and the accuracy of the tracking technology. We added native multi-language support to reach more people. Multiple issues with the Leash technology that were reported by Finders were then fixed by our developers. We changed the format so the EULA (end user licensing agreement) pop-up only launches the first time the app is launched.
May 20, 2013: Version 1.3
The new “Start It” wizard lets you quickly and easily access the app’s most popular features. Many bugs and connection stability issues were resolved thanks to the reports sent by our Finders. We added more language support, made many UI improvements, and we simplified Virtual Leash.
July 6, 2013: Version 1.4
This release updates the sticker to the latest firmware over the air, during which time the sticker briefly disconnects and reconnects. It includes support for iOS7. The buzzer in the sticker produces a louder melody tone. We fixed an error that caused the app to lose names for some stickers. We updated Leash again, to stop displaying the occasional false alert. We added an informative tutorial video that explains how to properly use radar, which now displays signal strength as the new default.
August 23, 2013: Version 1.5
This release features the brand new GPS tagging feature. The app now has iOS maps built into it, so even your phone screen is off, or the app is running in the background, it will automatically mark on a map the last position it saw a sticker. This means that if the device you are tracking is out of range, you can pinpoint the last place it was in range. Keep the app running in the background to take advantage of this feature.
This is the story so far, but only so far. The world won’t slow down, and neither will progress. The StickNFind team will be there to adapt and ride the crazy wave of future technologies! We rely heavily on all of the StickNFind reviews and feedback from the Finder community so we can quickly address any bugs or issues.
